How to get to the Beat@Ballymac
· By train
Bridge End rail stop on the Bangor Line.
Exit the train stop under the flyover bridge and turn left. The Beat Initiative is in the yard opposite Leyland Decorating centre.
· By Bus
Metro Route 3A
Take the bus to Tower Street stop (2nd stop on the Newtownards Rd). Go straight over the patch of empty ground, past the Ballymac Friendship centre to the end of the road, take a right. The Beat Initiative is in the yard opposite Leyland Decorating centre.
· By Car and Bicycle
If you come onto the Newtownards Road from Belfast, the first junction, immediately on the left side, is Ballymacarrett Road. It is opposite Short Strand. There is a former KwikFit garage on the corner. Go down the Ballymacarrett Road. When you go around the first corner you will see a big grey steel boiler-house chimney in front on the left. We are in the fenced yard opposite it on the right side of the road. There is also a paint/decorating centre (Leyland) opposite our gates. In the yard you will see the workshop with big roller shutter doors.
There is plenty of secure parking at this location.
If you come onto the Newtownards Road from the Albertbridge Road, turn left at the Albertbridge Road / Templemore Avenue crossroads - heading down Templemore Avenue towards the shipyard cranes, then at the end turn left onto the Newtownards Road towards town. Ballymacarrett Road is at the end of the road on the right.
